2005 TEAM PERFORMANCE

HardLine Offroad Racing is UROC Atlantic Pro Super Modified Team 103.

In the summer of 2004, Alan and Ken agreed to team up and take their passion for hardcore wheeling to the next level. They began planning to compete in the UROC Extreme East Super Modified series for 2005. By that August, Alan had incorporated HardLine Enterprises to manage their racing business and maybe even do some retail parts dealing.

Can't have a team without a crawler.

The best way to get your feet wet in the expensive sport of Rock Racing is to buy a used car from a competitor who was upgrading or leaving the scene. Alan found a great deal on a used single seater and his weekends were taken for the rest of the winter. You see, the only problem with buying used gear is that it's, well . . . . used.

Used stuff is either damaged, worn, or at best needs to be adjusted. The rig that looked so great on the trailer the day he bought it turned into months of night and weekend work to refurbish and get ready for the new season.

Team 103 (now team 47) came out of the gate with an outstanding rookie performance in 2005, earning a 15th place finish overall in a field of 37 teams and the top ranking rookie team in the series! They made such a big impression on UROC that they were the ONLY rookie team selected in the UROC All Star list (round 1) for vendor exposition at SEMA. Unfortunately, they could not take advantage of the opportunity as they had already sold the ’05 rig to re-invest in a new top of the line moon buggy for 2006.
